On September 15 CUPA (Christians Uniting for Political Action) will be hosting our 3rd annual Pastors and Politics conference. Our theme will center on the “Prayer of Repentance”. We believe that the first step on the road to recovery is for the Church to repent for withdrwing from the political arena, which we have termed  political apostasy. If you are convicted as I am, be prepared to sign this document and attend the conference for a public and formal signing.  Email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. Prayer of Repentance

Lord God, You commissioned the Church to represent Your kingdom on the earth, and we have abandoned our responsibility. We have failed to hold high the scepter of Your righteousness in the midst of a godless culture. We have remained silent while evil presided and prevailed over our institutions and permeated our laws. We confess that our silence in the past empowered the forces of evil, enabling them to grasp the reins of control over laws and institutions. Still today, we witness a gross darkness sweeping over the land. Yet, we remain silent. Our only weapon against this menace is the sword of Your Truth. But, because we have not proclaimed it, we have no defense against the evil. FORGIVE US FOR FAILING OUR COMMUNITIES We have forsaken our responsibility as gate keepers and watchmen on the wall. • We have not addressed our leaders, from our local governments to Washington D.C., with Your Laws and Precepts. • Our nation is being plundered from within and the hearts of our children are being turned against all that is good. • We have been silent regarding the exploitation of the poor through crippling welfare policies. • We have remained silent when our government has used unjust weights and measures resulting in the theft from all who labor and own property. FORGIVE US FOR FAILING OUR CONGREGATIONS We have allowed those whom You have placed in our care to go unchallenged when they support policies and people who oppose Your Laws and Precepts. • We have held our tongues in the pulpit in exchange for peace within our congregations. • We have censored Your people by submitting to our fear of man. • We have not encouraged the saints to engage in servant leadership within our communities. FORGIVE US FOR FAILING OUR CHILDREN We have sacrificed our children on the altar of secular humanism by allowing our educational institutions to be transformed into secular establishments. • We have cut off the next generation from our historical and spiritual roots. • We have permitted our children to sit under an onslaught of sexual immorality disguised as education. • We have excused our schools from teaching our children the U.S. Constitution, our nation’s history, and our Christian heritage. • We have allowed our children to be conditioned to accept multiculturalism, fraudulent environmentalism, secular humanism, situational ethics, and homosexuality in place of the absolute Truth of Your Word. Therefore Lord God … FORGIVE US FOR FAILING YOU! AS A DECLARATION OF OUR REPENTANCE, WE PLEDGE TO: • Fall on our knees before You, asking forgiveness and pleading for courage and strength to repent of our sins. • Take responsibility to make clear and charge our congregations to uphold the Biblical position on public policy. • Stand visibly in support of those who oppose evil and tyranny in our communities. • Protect our children from destruction of their souls through ungodly indoctrination of their minds. • Engage in the battle to restore the name of Jesus Christ to its rightful place in our culture – as the King of kings and Lord of lords. Lord God, with our signatures placed hereon below, we claim Your Power and Might and by the authority given to us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we commit our minds, hearts and resources to the furtherance of Your Kingdom, in this and to future generations.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer and His Challenge

British Journalist Malcolm Muggeridge explained how Hitler’s universal healthcare plan eventually led to the Holocaust:

“We have been accorded, for those that have eyes to see, an object lesson in what the quest for ‘quality of life’ without reference to ‘sanctity of life’ can involve…The origins of the Holocaust lay, not in Nazi terrorism…but in pre-Nazi Weimar Germany’s acceptance of euthanasia and mercy-killing as humane and estimable.” Continue reading

Tuesday is the Presidential Primary Election Day for the State of Missouri.  Here in Springfield, we will also vote on Proposition 1, also called the E-Verify issue.  There have been a myriad of voices in opposition to this proposal including a letter signed by twenty pastors who are against E-Verify.  The letter states that their position is based on the Bible.  However, the scriptures they quote have nothing to do with the reason and purpose of E-Verify.  There is no cost involved, nor have the terrible consequences that have been predicted come to pass.  Biblically speaking, we have the example of the nation Israel, which always distinguished between those who were Hebrews and those who were “strangers.”  How was this done?  Continue reading

Many people today believe that morality and ethics are old-fashioned principles; that if morality and ethics ever were valid and necessary in man’s daily life, they certainly are not valid and necessary today.  These same people are convinced that there are no fixed standards of right and wrong, good and evil.  In spite of these commonly-held beliefs, I assure you that ll of us make moral and ethical choices every day, whether we understand or not, and whether we make those choices consciously or sub-consciously.  Furthermore, I assure you that there are fixed standards of morality and ethics.  Those standards are set by God, and are specifically stated in His Word.  Continue reading

“In Germany, the Nazis first came for the communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, but I didn’t speak up because I was a protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak for me.” This is the appeal given by Martin Niemoller, Pastor of a Confessing Church in Berlin Germany who was sentenced to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp by Hitler himself. Ann Coulter has written a book called Demonic in which I am taking some liberties to quote and comment on.

Have you noticed that there are a growing number of mobs showing up at banks, hospitals, homes of CEO’s, private parties, polling places, malls and public beaches for the sole purpose of wreaking havoc?

This is the same mob that brought down Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yemen, the UAE and others. This is the same mob that several Democratic politicians, members of liberal news organizations who are championing the call to rise up here in America and riot like Egyptians. The communist and socialist such as Van Jones are joining the chorus basically saying the same thing. For those who don’t know who Van Jones is, he is a member of the Communist Party USA, who was appointed to a czar position in the White House, but stepped down when unmasked. Continue reading

If America’s parents knew what the internationalist have planned for your children, they would pull them out of school tomorrow.  The International Baccalaureate program is best described from a Christian perspective as evil.  The program is designed to undermined everything that is Christian and American.  This program conditions children to accept international beliefs and standards.  These standards are spelled out in United Nation laws.  I am posting an article written by Allen Quist concerning the IB program, which is coming to your school soon.  Please go to www.edwatch.org for more information.  I am sounding an alarm and so are others. For the last year and a half, the current administration has been lobbying for control over the internet. The FCC (Federel Communications Commission) is trying to regulate the internet as a utility. They are particularly wanting to control bloggers and alternative news sources. They are making attempts to tax, licen…se and monitor the internet. The courts have stopped them. I know for some this is hard to accept, but we are on the treshhold of tyrany. This latest power grab has been packaged in the name of protecting us. It would have been more believable if this ploy was used on the first attempt. It’s not the man, It’s the policies

Hey you can’t have a litmus test!! This is the Liberal mantra designed to corral us all into the pig pen of group think. It’s all done in the name of fairness, inclusiveness, sensitivity and all around ”Here’s how I want you to think,” political correct nonsense. The only people groups told that they can’t have a litmus test for their leaders are Christian conservatives. Even though we are obviously different you will hardly notice it over the loud chorus of our silence. They tell us that if you want someone who believes in creation and absolute truth, then he is a zealot and a bigot. If he is against abortion, homosexual marriage, pornography, generational theft by politicians and three headed monsters then he’s too narrow and is disqualified from serving the real people. In addition to that, those types of prehistoric views could offend the real people. Of course they don’t say “real people”, but there is an implied norm and Christian conservatives are not portrayed as normal. Continue reading

Can you be a Christian and a racist at the same time?  The answer is “no” unless you are part of something like the Christian Identity movement or any white supremacy group claiming to be Christian.  Society condemns this obvious contradiction with loud voices.  Even if the question of the validity of their Christianity doesn’t come up in conversation, true Christians don’t associate with them or lend them support of any kind.  Somehow in the minds of most Americans this seems to be an issue that is very easy to discern and sort out.

On the other hand if you are a Christian and subscribe to philosophies such as Black Liberation Theology or lend support to the likes of Jeremiah Wright, then the answer is “yes.”  We can also throw the shameful NAACP into this group since they have formally come out of the closet.  I have attended black churches where “us and them” was preached in terms of overcoming white suppression on a regular basis.
